Mr. Pierre-Luc Labelle, Vice-President, Tax Incentives at FINALTA CAPITAL is a technology professional with a keen business sense.
Even before completing his engineering studies, Pierre-Luc founded a sports and ergonomic services company. Operating in parallel to the field of industrial technologies, Pierre-Luc then decided to diversify his company by adding a research and development consulting division.
In 2012, after joining the consulting firm COGNIFISTECH as technical advisor, Pierre-Luc significantly increased his expertise in the analysis and preparation of Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) tax credit claims.
Following the merger of COGNIFISTECH and RAYMOND CHABOT GRANT THORNTON in 2015, Pierre-Luc assumed the role of consultant and project manager in the tax, R&D and innovation department, serving small to very large industrial clients across Canada mainly in aeronautics, electrotechnical and mechanical technologies. In close collaboration with tax specialists, Pierre-Luc also expanded his expertise to other technological fields as well as other forms of tax incentives.
In 2016, Pierre-Luc joined FINALTA CAPITAL where he is responsible for assessing and managing risks associated to tax incentives as part of the granting and monitoring of related business financing solutions for small and medium-sized businesses across Canada. He reaches in 2018 the position of Vice-President, Tax Incentives. Pierre-Luc holds a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, from École Polytechnique de Montréal, for which he has been awarded the De Vinci Excellence Profile.
